Frankfurt nad Mohanem není metropole, má asi 650 000 obyvatel. Frankfurt je však finančním hlavním městem Německa. Nachází se zde více než 500 bank! Proto se mu přezdívá “Bankfurt”. Každoročně se zde koná největší knižní veletrh na světě.
