Slovo zu se často používá k vytvoření infinitivní věty.

• Ich habe Lust, mit dir ins Kino zu gehen.  Mám chuť jít s tebou do kina.

• Ich finde es schwierig, die deutsche Sprache zu lernen.  Je pro mě obtížné naučit se německý jazyk.

• Es ist einfach, einen Job in Deutschland zu finden.  V Německu je snadné najít práci.
