-için – for

  • “Çocuklar için” translates to “for the children” where “çocuklar” means “children.” There’s no direct equivalent of “the” here.
  • Similarly, “anne için” translates to “for the mother” without a definite article.

Turkish does not have definite articles like “the”. Instead, definiteness is often implied by context or indicated by possessive constructions.
